Current Season : Wet Season (Ends on 8/29)
~ Wet Season (May-November) ~ Rainfall is increased and the herds of prey migrate. Lionesses will give birth in the wet season, even though the lionesses do not give birth or mate in a specific time in the year. The whole pride becomes less irritable during this time because the food is more abundant and they are able to quench their thirst more often. ~ Dry Season (December-April) ~ Oddly, it is cooler during this season. Prey animals begin to stay around water sources, so then prey becomes harder to come by. Lionesses fail at hunts more because they become more exhausted. The pride becomes more irritable because of the scarce food and lack of water. Lionesses go into heat in this season, so then the cubs will be born in the wet season, although there is no set time for mating in real life.
